3 Different Coloring Techniques! Check these out!!

Whoa! Stampin’ Up! has put together some great (and quick) videos on some fab coloring techniques. I have to say that this is going to help me get over (at least a little bit) the fact that the Blendabilities are not available right now. Are you feeling lost without your Blendabilities? I know that I have feeling a bit stuck without mine. I was still using mine this past week and what do you know…I have already discovered that 2 more of my markers had dried out. Stampin’ Up! made the right call to pull these from distribution.

Check out these videos for yourself (seriously, each video is under 2 minutes!):

Happy Easter Everybunny

1 crafts 2015-03-03 045

Happy Monday! It’s back to school this week after having the kids home for Spring Break. We ended the week with a trip to the circus and a little overnight visitor. My oh-so-sweet nephew (just 8 months old) was our guest. We had so much fun smooching on the sweetie for over 24 hours! That kid almost makes me want another one. Alright, I guess we can get on with today’s card.

I used a retired stamp set: Happy Easter Everybunny. The layout and paper is a direct copy from a card that I found in the Occasions Catalog (pg. 36). If you are in need of this catalog (and plan on ordering through me, :) ) please email me: abritt226@hotmail.com

Isn’t this layout great?! You can easily use any combination of colors and paper to re-create this card! Just substitute another stamp and you are good to go! Let me know if you have any questions…have a wonderful day and I will see you soon!

Here are the SU!pplies that you can purchase to create this card:

Happy Easter Bunny! +MORE Sale-A-Bration Items Added!!

How sweet is this huge stamp? I just love this dancing bunny!

This card was included in the Easter Class that I had over this past weekend. It is such a fun image to color. Well, I should say that we did use Blendabilities because I already had this class planned with these markers. This would be just as cute colored with Blender Pens and Ink Pads!

It may be a little hard to see but, we did add some Dazzling Diamond Glitter to a few of the eggs AND that cute bunny tail. You know that I love my glitter! …can’t have too much sparkle!

Are you beginning to get ready for the Easter Bunny’s arrival? Today I am going to get up a few bunny decorations. We are having the family over for Easter Sunday and I can not believe we are only just over two weeks away from the big day! Time to get busy. :)

I have been missing in action around here but, I have completely changed my daughter’s room over the last few days. For her 10th Birthday she wanted a new bedroom and I can say that the room looks completely different. Bye Bye little girls room and HELLO ‘tween. Lots of painting and shopping. It’s been fun going out together trying to find the perfect pieces to complement her new teal, gray, and white theme. My goal was to have this project finished during their Spring Break and we did it! Yay!

Here is your Supply List for the above card:

Stampin’ Up! has added more options for you to choose FOR FREE during Sale-A-Bration! Remember THESE items were added to the pot also! HERE are the original items that you can still get (except the Blendabilities). The only items that are guaranteed to stay in stock are the exclusive S-A-B stamp sets so, if you are wanting any of these FREEBIES you should be sure to order right away! *NOTE* Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31st–get your FREE goodies while you can! Now’s the time to stock up on your cardstock, adhesives, AND the retiring In-Colors (that will happen on May 1st and those will be “while supplies last” so get them NOW if you love them).

“You crack me up!”, this gave one of the girls that attended the class a case of the giggles after she saw the card we were creating. I *love* when this happens!

Can you believe that Easter is only 3 weeks away?! I just realized that. I need to get to stamping some more cute Easter goodies. :)

Here are the Supplies that I used to create today’s card:

Have a wonderful day!
By the way, it’s absolutely gorgeous around here. :)

Funky Fold: Celebrate Today

1 crafts 2015-03-03 019

How about another Celebrate Today card? This was my daughter’s birthday card. Perfect for a 10 year old girl, right?! Nice and bright!

I used the masking technique with the balloons. That’s where you stamp your image that you want to see the entire image (in this case it was the blue balloon). I then stamped that balloon image on a post-it note and cut it out (make sure that you stamp near the top of the post-it that has sticky on the back). Place that post-it over your already stamped image then stamp your next image over the post-it! In my case, I stamped the pink balloon and then the orange one.

*I stamped off once before stamping my solid balloons onto my whisper white. That way when I added the detailed stamp to the balloons it would stand out.*

To get my pink balloon to “hang” off the right side I made a cut from the top and bottom of the whisper white cardstock to the balloon and trimmed the side of the balloon with scissors.

How do you like this fold? I thought that it was cute and fun! Something different from the “regular” fold. :)

I used a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock. I scored that at 3 1/2″ and again at 9″ on the long side. I also added some glossy patterned paper (not Stampin’ Up!) to each section of the card.

I hope that you get some stamping time in this weekend! My kiddos get out of school in just about an hour (yep, 1/2 day, YAY!, ok, not really, LOL, I have lots to do). They are on Spring Break next week! We have no big plans for the week. What do you do for Spring Break?

Have a wonderful day! :)
