Hello! Did you have a good weekend? We had a pretty busy weekend around here. My husband and myself had been asked to assist in a couple of classrooms for our kid’s PSR program this year so, I attended a nice and early mass on Saturday followed by a yummy breakfast and business meeting. After that he kids and I had our normal Saturday activities which included hanging out with Aunt Nini (which is always fun)! Then yesterday we did some swimming and had bbq with my husband’s side of the family. Our niece is going away to college this week! CRAZY! This summer has really flown by! My kids go back to school on Thursday and my son is starting KINDERGARTEN! Ahhh.
Well, I’ll move on for now. As you can see from the picture above, I did a bit of crafting. I wanted to bring our niece a little something to take with her on adventure to college. What’s more appropriate than some cute little notecards? I know that now a days (man, I am starting to feel old writing this post, lol) everyone texts and writes each other through emails or facebook but, I wanted her to have something a bit more special. Plus, I included a whole book of stamps so she won’t even have to worry about buying stamps!
I even embossed the metal hinged tin that hold the cards. I love embossing on cards but, I had never tried to emboss on anything else. This was so fun! I did make sure to use my embossing buddy to keep my embossing powder from sticking to places that I didn’t want it.
She seemed to like it. I hope she knows how much we will be thinking of her while she begins this new chapter in her life. We love you, Kelsey!
Remember this post the from other day with the For the Birds stamp set? This whole gift set was created with that same set. It’s so cute and versatile!
