160 Halloween Suckers! Stampin’ Up! – Happily Ever Crafter

160 Halloween Suckers! Stampin’ Up!

Do you want to see what I was talking about yesterday?  Check out the 160 suckers that I wrapped up!

Here is a closer shot of my pile:

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I designed a t-shirt for my sister-in-laws charity.  She runs a company called Molly Maid here in St. Louis, MO…specifically, the St. Charles region.  She has been organizing a 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run that took place this morning.  All proceeds go to the Ms. Molly Foundation which then gives back to the Bridgeway Center of St. Charles.

She asked me if I would like to put something in the goody bags that the participants would receive and my answer, sure…why not?!!  I, of course, waited till the last week (in my defense-we had no clue how many would register) to get started.  That’s really not an excuse though, right?! 🙂

To make things a bit easier on myself I made just two minor changes from my original plan.  (1) I was going to use ribbon to tie them closed at the bottom.  As you can see, I used staples.  This was so much faster than punching a couple of small holes and threading ribbon through them and tying a bow.  (2) I was also going to use the ribbon to hold my business cards on there.  I actually just slid my cards through the back of the holder behind the suckers.

I used Jolly Rancher Carmel Apple suckers which were nice and flat and the perfect size for what I wanted.

To make these holders you just cute your paper to 3″ x 6″ and score at the 3″ mark.  I folded them in half, stapled them and lastly attached my stamped image with a dimensional.  That’s it.  Pretty quick and easy (minus the fact that I did so many!).

I used up almost all of the retired Halloween designer paper for this project.  I am just glad to see it going to good use and not collecting anymore dust!

Have a great day!  It’s beautiful here today!  A fantanstic75 degree day!  Yippee, I really hope that we have said good bye to the 90’s + weather but, you never know around here.
