Well, we are half way through Spring Break and we really have not done anything so far unless, you count going to the craft store (which was fun!…we all left with something!). We have a few things that may happen in the last few days of break…the new Muppet movie might get us out of the house on Friday and my sister in law is talking about the Circus for Saturday. Am I a terrible mom for not having a bigger/better week planned for my kiddos? I am having fun just hanging out and not having to rush here and there all week. I am having fun~doesn’t that count?!
Alright, onto today’s card. I have been having lots of fun with the Sweet Sorbet designer series paper that is currently in the Sale-a-bration promotion. I mean first off, it’s FREE and second, it’s really cute. Can’t beat that, right?!
I used a piece of the paper on the bottom of the card. I used a corner rounder punch to round 2 of the 4 corners~cool, right? I thought so. 🙂
I have not used my Mixed Bunch stamps in a while so, I was happy to put some ink on those. I also used Chalk Talk for my sentiment in the bottom right corner.
I chose to show the inside of this card some attention. I do not always “do up” the inside of my cards but, this time I wanted to add a little something more. I added a layer of whisper white card stock and did some sponging to the both the outside and inside layers. I think that going the extra mile to finish the inside of this card just speaks to me. It’s a nice, pretty birthday card for a friend, co-worker, neighbor, or any female (or guys, if they like flowers!). 😉
