Merry Monday Week 2: Take Two!

*Edited*  The blog got a bit excited and published before I was finished!!  Let’s try this again:

Hi everyone!  I told you last week that I completely forgot to post my Merry Monday.  Sometimes my brain turns to mush during the summer, I admit it.  I decided that I would show you 2 cards today to make up for my mistake~forgive me yet? hope so!

Both cards are created with the stamp set: Festive Flurry.  I actually purchased the stamp set and framelits bundle because you save 15% whn you do that!! Hello-more $$ for more stamps. 🙂

This card is more of a holiday notecard OR you could very well stamp a nice holiday sentiment on the inside. I could not find anything that I liked to add to the front.  So, for now I am calling it a notecard. 🙂

I did use some now retired Pool Party Coordinations.  I sanded it just a little and used a sponge dauber with Whisper White Craft Ink around the edges of the Pool Party then, I added a layer of Whisper White behind that.

Hopefully here you can see that I stamped the snowflakes in Whisper White Craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  For the die cut snowflake I stamped in Pool Party then, used my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp in VersaMark and then I added heat and stick powder (embossed it) and finally, added Dazzling Diamonds for all of that sparkle!  *LOVE SPARKLE*

Don’t forget to scroll down for the 2nd card!  Here are the supplies that I used for the above card:

The second card is pretty straight forward.  I stamped my snowflakes in Whisper White craft ink and again used a dauber to rub some Whisper White along the edges of the card.  This makes it look nice and frosty! You may want to heat it with your heat tool to make it dry but, I set it off to the side while I completed my snowflake and it was dry enough to handle.

I stamped a snowflake in VersaMark and embossed it with Pool Party embossing powder.  Other steps:  I tied some ribbon, added a sentiment, used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop on my die cut snowflake and lastly, I decided it needed some bling so, I added some rhinestones to the center of my snowflakes!

I used some non-SU! ribbon and a retired sentiment on this card.

Here are the supplies for the above card (I forgot to include in the above list: VersaMark and Sponge Daubers, the link is below because I used them both for each card):

I hope that you enjoyed these couple of cards that I shared with you today.  If so, could you leave a quick comment?  I made leaving a comment much easier now and took off the word verification process!!

Have a great day!
