How about another Celebrate Today card? This was my daughter’s birthday card. Perfect for a 10 year old girl, right?! Nice and bright!
I used the masking technique with the balloons. That’s where you stamp your image that you want to see the entire image (in this case it was the blue balloon). I then stamped that balloon image on a post-it note and cut it out (make sure that you stamp near the top of the post-it that has sticky on the back). Place that post-it over your already stamped image then stamp your next image over the post-it! In my case, I stamped the pink balloon and then the orange one.
*I stamped off once before stamping my solid balloons onto my whisper white. That way when I added the detailed stamp to the balloons it would stand out.*
To get my pink balloon to “hang” off the right side I made a cut from the top and bottom of the whisper white cardstock to the balloon and trimmed the side of the balloon with scissors.
How do you like this fold? I thought that it was cute and fun! Something different from the “regular” fold. 🙂
I used a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock. I scored that at 3 1/2″ and again at 9″ on the long side. I also added some glossy patterned paper (not Stampin’ Up!) to each section of the card.
I hope that you get some stamping time in this weekend! My kiddos get out of school in just about an hour (yep, 1/2 day, YAY!, ok, not really, LOL, I have lots to do). They are on Spring Break next week! We have no big plans for the week. What do you do for Spring Break?
