Angie Britt – Page 2 – Happily Ever Crafter

Mother’s Love

1 crafts 2015-04-27 007

Hello! Miss me? 🙂  I hope that you have been able to do some papercrafting! I have been making and selling LOTS of teacher cards and tags over the last week. Since I started posting some newer items over in my Etsy Shop: Happily Ever Crafter, I have been a busy little stamper. I. Love. It. Period! This is something that I have wanted to do for a LONG time. I’m getting a little nervous that things are heating up right before the kids get out of school for the summer. Do you think they will mind staying inside for 3 months? Ha. I better come up with a plan because I can not lose momentum! I love all of my papercrafting jobs!

I did manage to create a Mother’s Day card to share with you. 🙂

I’m going to admit that this is not my most favorite card that I have ever created. I don’t know why I was having a hard time. In the end though if you add sparkle to ANY project it gets prettier so, that’s what I did! If you look closely you will see the bits of glitter around the center piece “Nobody loves like a Mom”.

And, of course, I stamped the inside to match! Well, I kind of had to since the set comes with these two BIG sentiments!

You can find the stamp set, Mother’s Love, in the current Occasions Catalog along with the Washi Tape that I used on the sides of the card.

If you have any questions about card OR just want to say, “Hello”, leave a comment. I *love* comments. 🙂

Supplies Used for Today’s Card

Handmade Religious Cards

Hello Stampers! Today I’m sharing a couple of religious celebration cards that I have created this past week.

Here is a hot pink (Melon Mambo) version that my aunt requested for a First Communion she is attending this weekend:

Here is the boy version. Our sweet nephew has his First Communion tomorrow. The best part…these cards are money holders! Woo Hoo! A gift in an envelope and who doesn’t love that? Yes, even kids will love that!

This stamp set is actually retired. However, there is another stamp set in the current catalog, Blessed by God, that you could substitute and get some great results. The key for me on these cards was to keep it SIMPLE!

If you have questions about any projects I post I would love to hear them! Just leave them in the comment section!

PS>>If you are in need of a religious card you could check out my Etsy Shop. I have 2 other cards posted over there that have been popular. In fact, I just got an order for a girl (pink) one yesterday that I am about to complete and get into the mail today so, I better get moving. 😉 If you would like something custom made just contact me and we will see what we can do!

Celebrate Today, Important Dates + Design Inside of Cards

Welcome to Wednesday! I hope that your day is going well so far. 🙂

I have a card to share today that is a CASE (copy and share everything) from Pinterest. You can see Teneale’s card HERE. I changed up a few things because I didn’t have all of the same supplies as her original.

I had a sweet comment from a girl named April (Hi-April! 🙂 ). She asked for some direction on how to keep the design flowing into the center of the card. I didn’t have too many resources for her to check out. As I was editing this card I realized that I had a little something to share with April (and the rest of you!). Here is the inside of this card:

One way to coordinate the inside of the card to the front is to stamp an image from the same set on the inside. If I am using a dark colored card stock for my card base I always add a light colored layer, usually Whisper White, like I did here. I stamped the solid balloon image and a few extras like the ribbon and balloon string. Of course, I added a sweet sentiment to the inside too. Petite Pairs is a great set for sentiments!

Another way to coordinate the inside to the outside is to use a strip of Designer Series Paper. If you used it on the outside then it’s a given to match on the inside! I hope this helps you see some new possibilities.

I also received a question from Lauren! She has some questions about retiring lists and the NEW Catalog dates. I actually just marked my calendar yesterday with all of these important dates!

  • April 21st: Retired List is released. Remember-accessories and items that are NOT stamp sets are only going to be available while supplies last!
  • May 6th: I will be placing an order for NEW Catalogs to be mailed to my customers that have placed $50 (or more) in orders with me in the last year. If this is you–be on the look out for your FREE catalog–expected to ship out around May 12th! If you would like me to send you a catalog (and you have not placed $50 in orders) I can send a PayPal invoice for $5.00 from May 1st-May 6th. Contact me if you would like to order your own catalog!
  • June 2nd: NEW Catalog Goes LIVE!! Order all of the new great products!
  • June 2nd: Today is the LAST DAY to order available items from the Retired List AND the Occasions Catalog! You can order NEW catalog product along with Retiring items today only!

Mark your calendar folks! Lots coming up!

Here are your NEW Weekly Deals! There are some great deals this week…

Have a great day!! If YOU have a question for me do not hesitate–just ask!

Don’t Miss Out–Last Day! +My Son Gave Me a Challenge!

1 crafts 2015-04-09 016

OOPS! I just found this card on my desk when I was cleaning up last night. It was tucked in with my papers! Worst part about that? My son asked me to make him an Easter card. It was the cutest thing…”Mom, will you make me a card?” Me: “Ummm, sure!” <he saw this cute puppy dog stamp sitting on my desk> Jacob: “Can you use this dog stamp, and umm, have a bunny on there holding a basket, and can the bunny be giving the dog an egg?” Me: “Wow, uhh, I will do my best, Jacob. 🙂 ”

He didn’t see this Happy Easter Bunny Stamp that I have. 🙂 I got to work and completed everything on his “Wish List”! However, I guess I failed when it came to delivering the final result to him! Let’s see what he says when he gets home from school today!
