Merry Monday #15: Quick and Easy Gift Tags!

2014-12-21 1 crafts monday

Welcome back to another week of Merry Monday! This is the last video in the series. Can you believe that Christmas is only 3 days away?? This is the point that you are wishing you had just purchased one really expensive gift instead of a few different things¬†for each person on your list. It’s time to WRAP it up (pun, intended ūüôā )

Quick and easy has been my motto for the last few weeks. ¬†I continue the trend in today’s video: ¬†Quick and Easy Gift Tags! These are so much nicer than those sticker sheets (I can never seem to match them to my wrapping paper). ¬†Customize to your hearts content.

2 Merry Monday

Here’s your video (let’s¬†pretend I used the correct date in the intro, OOPS)

Today I am showing you¬†a couple of cute tags that I created recently. ¬†We are all about to get knee deep in plenty of commitments, parties, and the overall festivities of the holiday season. So, let’s get a jump on our Holiday crafting now while we¬†can still breathe. ¬†How does that sound? ¬†ūüôā

Here are the supplies that you will need to complete the tag on the left:

Cut your tag base (2″ x 3 3/4″) next, using your scissors snip the corners of the top of your tag. ¬†Punch the tree out of the center. ¬†Using real red ink stamp your star image onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock. ¬†Next, ink the word “merry” from the stamp “a merry little wish” with your Garden Green Marker and stamp that under your star. ¬†Punch out with your 1″ circle punch. ¬†Staple your circle image onto your tag. ¬†Punch a hole in the center of the top of the tag and string your baker’s twine through it. ¬†Ta da, you have completed tag #1!

Here are the supplies that you will need to complete the tag on the right:

Cut Cherry Cobbler card stock for your tag base (2″ x 4″). ¬†Snip the corners at the top of your tag. ¬†Cut Whisper White card stock to 2″ x 2 1/2″ and stamp your “to/from” at the bottom. Attach this piece to your tag base. ¬†Punch the top of the tag with your hole punch and slide your Cherry Cobbler ribbon through (about 6″) next, tie your baker’s twine into a bow around your Cherry Cobbler ribbon. ¬†Punch one 2 1/2″ circle from your Under the Tree paper and attach to your tag base. ¬†Lastly, punch a tree from a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and then punch that out with a 2 1/2″ circle punch. ¬†Attach this piece over your designer paper with dimensionals. ¬†Voila! ¬†You have created a totally cute tag that will look great on top of any gift you plan to give this season!

I hope that you are getting some SIMPLE (completely doable) project ideas from me. ¬†It’s not about the hours of crafting that you put into your projects it’s only about the finished product. Your recipients will know that you care enough about them that you went the extra mile! ¬†No generic sticker “to/from” tags. ¬†ūüôā

Merry Monday on Tuesday

How about a little Merry Monday on Tuesday?  My ultimate goal yesterday was to get Merry Monday video number 11 loaded to YouTube.  Haha, that took over 5 hours.

And then…

I am sure that A LOT of people have seen on the News the things about Ferguson, Missouri.  I live in St. Louis, Missouri (about 20 minutes from Ferguson). I went to high school in Ferguson.  I have friends in Ferguson.  I have immediate family in a neighboring city.  I have an aunt and cousin that live in Ferguson.  I have an Uncle and two friends that are fire-fighters.  Last night was a VERY sad night for our city of St. Louis.  I stayed up until 2 am watching this city get destroyed on television.

I’m sorry that you had to wait until today. ¬†But, here is your Merry Monday (on Tuesday!)…

What You Should Know Before You Order! (Plus, I Fixed The Snowman!)

Hi there! ¬†Last week I shared a fun Popcorn Snowman Gift Card Holder (with the FIRE hazard, remember that?!) ¬†Well, I thought I would update you on how I fixed that issue. ¬†I could not sell these items the way they were, knowing that IF someone wasn’t thinking, like myself when I created it :), ¬†that their popcorn might end up in flames (or god forbid something worse).
Luckily, even though I used sticky strip, I was able to carefully peel off my original gift card holder and place it directly onto a small piece of Old Olive cardstock. ¬†I punched a hole in the Old Olive piece and used some baker’s twine to tie it onto the popcorn. ¬†Now, I feel much better. ¬†Don’t YOU?! ¬†Disaster averted.
You can view the original post HERE where I listed each item used.  Plus you can see the front of this cutie pa-tootie!
FYI:
I was checking the Stampin’ Up! backorder page and came across a few items that I wanted to be sure you were aware. ¬†This list looks long however, most of these items should have come back in stock yesterday. ¬†There are a few exceptions though that you should take notice of: ¬†Trim the Tree Designer Paper and Stampin’ Up! Trimmer Cutting Blades look to be out of stock until November 17th so, unless you can wait for those to arrive to you probably no earlier than Friday, November 21st, I would not order those. ¬†The five items at the end of this list have been on this list for a over a few days now. ¬†I would NOT order these items either as I have no idea when Stampin’ Up! will get them back in stock. ¬†I am sorry for the inconvenience.

When placing an online order under $150 you can copy and paste
the November Hostess Code: 7JM42D43
If your order is over $35, I will send you a little gift in the mail along with your
Thank You card for ordering with me!  I appreciate your business!
Please let me know if I can assist you with anything (stamping related, lol!).
