One Last Perfect Blend Card

20150528_183641_resized_1

Hi stamping friends! I’m back today to share a card that I just created. 🙂 How about a bit of both worlds? A little retiring and a lot of new okay, and even something that has already retired.

1 crafts 2015-04-09 001

Let me give you some details about the card…

The retired:  see that little flower on the coffee cup? That’s a retired punch (it was part of a set of 3 that SU! sold in the past).

The ALMOST retired:  Perfect Blend stamp set. This is one of my all time favorite sets. I would have linked to the Perfect Blend stamp set but, it’s not letting me and I have a BAD feeling that it may have sold out overnight last night. 🙁  If I have better news for you later I will link back to it.

The BRAND NEW:  I used a new Designer Series Paper called, Cherry On Top and it’s a 6″ x 6″ pad! I thought that this piece of donut paper went great with the coffee cup! I also used a beautiful new lace ribbon in one of the new In-Colors: Watermelon Wonder. The little flower punch and the layer of cardstock behind the designer paper is also Watermelon Wonder.

The current product: Pool Party cardstock (the card base), Bermuda Bay (cardstock for the coffee cup and ink for the stamping on the coffee cup), Whisper White cardstock for the coffee cup sleeve and lid. Rhinestones.

Here are a few other projects that I have created with the Perfect Blend stamp set that you may like:

Make sure to check out the retiring items right away if you have not. Place your orders ASAP because the stamp sets are now only available while supplies last along with the retiring accessories. I don’t want you to miss out on anything that you would love to have! June 2nd is the LAST day to order!!

Celebrate Today, Important Dates + Design Inside of Cards

Welcome to Wednesday! I hope that your day is going well so far. 🙂

I have a card to share today that is a CASE (copy and share everything) from Pinterest. You can see Teneale’s card HERE. I changed up a few things because I didn’t have all of the same supplies as her original.

I had a sweet comment from a girl named April (Hi-April! 🙂 ). She asked for some direction on how to keep the design flowing into the center of the card. I didn’t have too many resources for her to check out. As I was editing this card I realized that I had a little something to share with April (and the rest of you!). Here is the inside of this card:

One way to coordinate the inside of the card to the front is to stamp an image from the same set on the inside. If I am using a dark colored card stock for my card base I always add a light colored layer, usually Whisper White, like I did here. I stamped the solid balloon image and a few extras like the ribbon and balloon string. Of course, I added a sweet sentiment to the inside too. Petite Pairs is a great set for sentiments!

Another way to coordinate the inside to the outside is to use a strip of Designer Series Paper. If you used it on the outside then it’s a given to match on the inside! I hope this helps you see some new possibilities.

I also received a question from Lauren! She has some questions about retiring lists and the NEW Catalog dates. I actually just marked my calendar yesterday with all of these important dates!

New Baby Card; FREE SHIPPING + BONUS From Me

1 crafts 2015-04-06 010

How’s it going for you on this fine Tuesday? We got a TON of rain this morning (with some hail) leaving the skies VERY gray today. What’s a girl to do when it’s raining and looks too yucky to venture out? Stamp-of course! Now that Easter is over and we have cleaned up the aftermath of having the family over I am OVER shopping and spending money right now for the house. I am ready to get back to work! And, who wouldn’t want stamping to be your job?

Here is the full view of the card that I created. I have to confess that I C.A.S.E.D. this design from the C.A.S.E. of the Mondays from Aly’s Project Downloads on Demand website. The designer puts up a card to case and mine is very similar to hers. I did change out the paper to a more subtle color combination. I also did some paper piercing around the large circle. Finally, I added some sponging to the Pool Party cardstock pieces. I am loving this card. You? 🙂

Happy Easter Everybunny

1 crafts 2015-03-03 045

Happy Monday! It’s back to school this week after having the kids home for Spring Break. We ended the week with a trip to the circus and a little overnight visitor. My oh-so-sweet nephew (just 8 months old) was our guest. We had so much fun smooching on the sweetie for over 24 hours! That kid almost makes me want another one. Alright, I guess we can get on with today’s card.

I used a retired stamp set: Happy Easter Everybunny. The layout and paper is a direct copy from a card that I found in the Occasions Catalog (pg. 36). If you are in need of this catalog (and plan on ordering through me, 🙂 ) please email me: abritt226@hotmail.com

Isn’t this layout great?! You can easily use any combination of colors and paper to re-create this card! Just substitute another stamp and you are good to go! Let me know if you have any questions…have a wonderful day and I will see you soon!
