Easter – Happily Ever Crafter

Happy Easter Everybunny

1 crafts 2015-03-03 045

Happy Monday! It’s back to school this week after having the kids home for Spring Break. We ended the week with a trip to the circus and a little overnight visitor. My oh-so-sweet nephew (just 8 months old) was our guest. We had so much fun smooching on the sweetie for over 24 hours! That kid almost makes me want another one. Alright, I guess we can get on with today’s card.

I used a retired stamp set: Happy Easter Everybunny. The layout and paper is a direct copy from a card that I found in the Occasions Catalog (pg. 36). If you are in need of this catalog (and plan on ordering through me, 🙂 ) please email me: abritt226@hotmail.com

Isn’t this layout great?! You can easily use any combination of colors and paper to re-create this card! Just substitute another stamp and you are good to go! Let me know if you have any questions…have a wonderful day and I will see you soon!

Here are the SU!pplies that you can purchase to create this card:

Peek At My Easter Dessert Table

Here is one last look at what Easter looked like at our house this year.  This is a peek at our dessert table.  Not too fancy but, I did want to add some fun touches this Easter.  One funny note…my mom came in and looked at my flowers and asked if that was carrots in my vase.  LOL, ummm, yes.  She then went on to say that I could have made the carrot cake (assuming she thought that I was just wasting good carrots).  Sorry Mom…you offered to make the carrot cake and I already had carrots!
I mentioned that I tried my hand at homemade Sugar Cookies.  Here was the final result.  These were very fun to make although I think that I would do a better job on try #2.  Cookie decorating is one of those things that I think you will just get better and better at each time.  At least that is what I am hoping because like I said, they were a lot of fun.  The downside, my hubby said to me- you need to hurry and finish those so you can put them away.  Each time he rounded the corner to the kitchen he felt the desire to snatch one up!

Hope you enjoyed seeing what I created this Easter.  I will be back with some Stampin’ projects this week!
Have a wonderful day!

An Easter Treat

I am sorry for not having anything for you this past weekend.  I was a bit busy. 🙂  Soccer game on Saturday morning then I had a class in the afternoon (both were F-U-N, Jacob scored the winning goal!!).  Yesterday, I had a First Communion to go to.  We left the house around 8:30am and got home around 4pm!  Not too much happened last night except I completed a few Etsy orders.

So, here we are…it’s Monday!!  A new week.
I told you that I was going to post a picture of at least one of my projects from Easter.  This isn’t the best picture but, you will get the idea.  The little kids (and BIG kids…AKA, dads) liked these sweet treats.  They looked so cute on our dessert table!
We were gathering the supplies when I realized I had used up the mini marshmallows that we had on rice krispy treats the week before.  My lovely daughter thought of using the white chocolate chips for the bunny tails.  Good thing I didn’t use ALL of those chips on the “carrot” looking chocolate covered strawberries we had already made!
Remember the Retired List is out and over 70 sets are already SOLD OUT!

Here is my last Easter card that was saved just for you all!  Enjoy…

Card measures 3″x6″.
I even “did up” the inside!

Guess how I got this envelope.
I created it of course–The Envelope Punch board is so cool!
And, a final close up!
Happy Easter to you and your family!

 Have a beautiful day~

Sweet Easter Treats: Stampin’ Up! Eggstra Spectacular

Good Morning!!  Boy, is it Saturday already?!  I was all ready to get this idea out to you yesterday but, I photographed then had major issues with my computer and lost those photos.  I did not have time to re-do everything.

I have been busy this week.  As I mentioned before, we are having Easter here at our house this year and I usually (always) come up with all of these fantastic ideas that I want to implement at our family gathering. Some work out while others are BIG disasters.  I must say this week has been so wonderful. 🙂  I made AND decorated sugar cookies.  I was so nervous because I have never done that before.  I will post pictures (sorry, it will have to be after Easter)  HERE is a link to what inspired me to give it a try because they are so STINKIN’ cute!  Now, hers are WAY better than mine so expect too much! LOL  I also had to do THIS too because how cute is this?  Not to mention easy and pretty inexpensive. Ok, ok…one more thing that I plan to accomplish before going to bed tonight: THESE I plan to use long wooden skewers in the place of the lollipop sticks (that may change because I have a TON of those sticks!) so that I can put them into a clear vase with peanut m&m’s in the bottom to help them stand up.  Who knows, I may use both. LOL

I will get to today’s project:

Aren’t these adorable?  I think so.  ðŸ™‚

These sweet treats are so easy to make.  If you have been following me I posted something a bit ago about these little cans.  I actually found quite a few more that I had collected.  These are a bit bigger.  All you do is take the bottom off the can, clean out well, dry, fill with a sweet treat and glue the bottom back on.  Leave the pop top alone and that is how your recipient will get inside!

These cans were covered in the Sale-A-Bration paper (no longer available).  I stamped my tags with Eggstra Spectacular (I absolutely LOVE this set!).  This stamp set has gotten a good amount of use and I am very happy to say that I feel I got my money of it this season!  It’s not too late to add it to your stamp collection, it would also be a great addition to a scrapbook page (uh, oh…that just gave me an idea for my next class!) 😉

Check back tomorrow because I have one last Easter card to show you!  So cute!!
