Today I am showing you a couple of cute tags that I created recently.  We are all about to get knee deep in plenty of commitments, parties, and the overall festivities of the holiday season. So, let’s get a jump on our Holiday crafting now while we can still breathe.  How does that sound?  🙂

Here are the supplies that you will need to complete the tag on the left:

Cut your tag base (2″ x 3 3/4″) next, using your scissors snip the corners of the top of your tag.  Punch the tree out of the center.  Using real red ink stamp your star image onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock.  Next, ink the word “merry” from the stamp “a merry little wish” with your Garden Green Marker and stamp that under your star.  Punch out with your 1″ circle punch.  Staple your circle image onto your tag.  Punch a hole in the center of the top of the tag and string your baker’s twine through it.  Ta da, you have completed tag #1!

Here are the supplies that you will need to complete the tag on the right:

Cut Cherry Cobbler card stock for your tag base (2″ x 4″).  Snip the corners at the top of your tag.  Cut Whisper White card stock to 2″ x 2 1/2″ and stamp your “to/from” at the bottom. Attach this piece to your tag base.  Punch the top of the tag with your hole punch and slide your Cherry Cobbler ribbon through (about 6″) next, tie your baker’s twine into a bow around your Cherry Cobbler ribbon.  Punch one 2 1/2″ circle from your Under the Tree paper and attach to your tag base.  Lastly, punch a tree from a piece of Crumb Cake card stock and then punch that out with a 2 1/2″ circle punch.  Attach this piece over your designer paper with dimensionals.  Voila!  You have created a totally cute tag that will look great on top of any gift you plan to give this season!

I hope that you are getting some SIMPLE (completely doable) project ideas from me.  It’s not about the hours of crafting that you put into your projects it’s only about the finished product. Your recipients will know that you care enough about them that you went the extra mile!  No generic sticker “to/from” tags.  🙂

Stampin’ Up! Hoppy Easter Tags

So, it’s Monday and the kids are back to school today.  There are mixed emotions about that…does anyone else get like that?  I mean don’t get me wrong-I absolutely love how quiet the house is for the few hours they are learning their little hearts out at school!  But, I also enjoy having them home with me (and I really like being able to stay up SUPER late and then not have to worry about being up early!).  I don’t think I am alone in feeling this way.  Oh well, just a few more months and it’s SUMMER break which is WAY longer!

Onto today’s project!  Last week while perusing the $1 spot I happened to find these cute tags with the twine attached and thought hey, I can do something with these!  That’s where my project started…
Super cute and easy Easter Tags!  I went monochromatic here and I just love how they turned out.  My Eggstra Spectacular stamp set is getting a workout over here lately!  If you do not have it you should attend my Stamp Camp coming up on April 8th!  This set is so cute and it’s only $11.95 for the clear-mount option.
I have added these tags over to my Etsy store also.  See the right hand column for more items in my store!

See the dimension?!  And, the glitter?  Oh the sparkle…I love sparkle!!

Here are some other inks and card stock that I used:
Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Bashful Blue (retired), Marina Mist

I hope that you have enjoyed this project and that you have a great day!

Halloween Bash, Box and Tags, Stampin’ Up!

Here is something just for fun that I made last week!  I bought this paper somewhere last year after Halloween for something like $2!  Don’t you love scoring great deals?  I know that I do, it makes me happy!  These tags that I put together for inside my cute little box were from a kit that I bought from Stampin’ Up! last year also.  Yep, I didn’t even put them together before the holiday.  Oh well, it was NOT going to happen again this year!

I created the box by cutting an 8 1/2″x11″ piece of Basic Black cardstock in half long ways. In other words, on the shorter side I cut at the 4 1/4″ mark.  Then, I scored at 5″ and again at 6″ on the long side.  I also created a little pocket to hold 10 of those tags that I had made.  They fit perfectly!  I punched an oval out of the top and added some ribbon to keep it closed.

While a few of these items are not available through my stampin’ site, I did use a brand new stamp set called Halloween Bash!  I used the bat and the label images right on the front of my little box!  If you would like to own this set for yourself here are the details–wood-mount 130577; $20.95 and clear-mount 130580; $15.95.  HERE is my Stampin’ Up! website.  Let me know if you need any help.

I posted a picture of the whole set at the bottom of this post.  I can’t wait to play with the other images!

See the googly eyes?!  I also stamped the bat once onto the tag and then again on a separate piece of whisper white and cut him out and added a dimensional to make him pop!
This set is so cute…why did it have to retire?
I hope that you enjoy this project and feel inspired to go create something fun today!
Have a great weekend and Thank You for stopping by to see me!
